Generally, we can land use define as a specific sign of human activities in time and space that includes certain historical, economic, social and cultural potential and that represents an intersection between the natural conditions of the area, technical possibilities and knowledge1. Societal changes, be they political, economic, demographic or technological, changes in property relationships, production methods or technical innovations, are reflected in the use of land2.
These pages are based on the research that is undertaken at the Department of Landscape Ecology at the Brno branch of Silva Tarouca Institute for Landscape and Ornamental Gardening, Pub. Res. Inst.
